Jasper sits in a green valley within a national park surrounded by the majestic Canadian Rockies. Water in its various forms has shaped the dramatic scenery and continues to create serene landscapes.
Tree-lined Lake Beauvert is the closest to town, but Pyramid and Patricia lakes are more famous thanks to the rugged peaks perfectly reflected in their still waters. Arguably the best of all is Maligne Lake whose incredible water colour is eclipsed by small, pine-lined Spirit Island. You may not know the name, but you’ll probably recognise the view.
Many glaciers come off the huge Columbia Icefield, roughly midway between Jasper and Lake Louise. Some have cut canyons where you can go ice walking. Other winter sports include ice skating and skiing at the Marmot Basin resort, named after local animals.
Bears inhabit the surrounding forests and more wildlife lives at The Den at Whistler Inn, just one Jasper accommodation option on Booking.com alongside mountain lodges and pet-friendly hotels with pools.
The Jasper Tramway – Canada’s highest cable car – goes to the top of The Whistlers mountain, and on the slopes of another are the Miette Hot Springs open-air pool. The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum details the area’s history, and traditional Haida styles and colours are celebrated in the modern Two Brothers Totem Pole
Nice town to walk about. Easy to get around. Lovely homes.
Nice town to walk about. Easy to get around. Lovely homes. Lovely views everywhere you looked. Very touristy, lots of souvenir shops and cafes/restaurants we ate at L&W restaurant. Greek/Italian food.

Parking....
Parking.... There is free parking outside hotel to load/unload for limited time, but it's hit and miss as to whether it's available as you pass by. As it's a dual carriageway, not worth the effort unless you are disabled etc. Even then still not guaranteed of course.
Best to park in car park that is literally across the road.
App was no good for a UK visitor.
Use the bar code thingy it works well.
Chargeable after 09.00.
But once you have used bar code once you can pay from across the road in your room.
Putting aside the fact it's chargeable it works well and is a big carpark.
Go on streetview to see the lie of the land.

Jasper is a more rustic mountain town than Banff or Canmore,...
Jasper is a more rustic mountain town than Banff or Canmore, which are in the Banff National Park (Canmore just out of the park boundaries). There are lots of places to visit outside of the town within easy driving distances. The town has many interesting restaurants and shops, and many places in which to stay. Camping is available nearby.

We love Jasper .
We love Jasper . It's welcoming with local smaller stores and the views of the mountains are amazing. We would recommend the Pizza place and the family run L and W restaurant with a large variety of food we really enjoyed.
Not all stores are accessible for people in wheelchairs as they have steps to get into the store. One store allowed me to take t-shirts just outside there open door to show my daughter while they watched .

The lakes are worth seeing.
The lakes are worth seeing. There are several that are very photogenic - lake Annette for instance. The town itself is quite scenic, though nothing close to say the Austrian Tyrol. The SkyTrain is vastly overpriced for what it is.

Spectacular Jasper National Park offers you the opportunity...
Spectacular Jasper National Park offers you the opportunity to visit the Miette Hot Springs, Maligne Valley, Pyramid Lake Island, Mount Edith Cavell, the Icefields Parkway and of course wonderful shopping and dining experiences in the town of Jasper itself. The shop keepers are friendly and helpful and the town takes great pride in its appearance. There are some long travel distances between areas so it's best to check ahead to ensure the attractions you wish to see are open. Jasper is truly the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies, hiding in plain sight!
This place is great, location wonderful. Price even more amazing. Staff super nice. The room is small but you are in a national park you aren’t there for the room. The bed is comfy. The room has great shower with amazing hot water. I can’t forget to mention having a parking spot in Jasper was so clutch to our trip. I recommend to anyone looking for a place to rest their head at night after a long day of traveling. Will hopefully get the opportunity to stay again.
The Lodge is in a beautiful location, nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and only minutes from the gates of Jasper National Park. The main lodge has a great restaurant, balcony, lounging area and views that are second to none. There are abundant walking/hiking trails on site, and the rooms are clean and reasonably well equipped. The staff, on a scale of 1-10, defiantly deserves a "12" :-)
At first our room was at a lodge and it looked cramp for family of 4 and a dog. I asked at the reception if we could have one of the cabins. Kartyk was very accommodating and catered to what we needed. We loved the cabin! Too bad that the restaurant was close. It would've been helpful so we didn't have to keep driving back to jasper downtown for 30 to 45mins back and forth.
The staff, the very comfortable mattresses, the cleanliness of the property overall including my room.
I have to make special reference to the very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and most helpful receptionists upon my arrival..
The location of the hotel is perfect and close to everything..
I highly recommend this hotel and I will book it fir my next visit to Jasper
It is a hostel so not same expectations as a hotel, though price was about the same (for a smaller more basic room), but I guess it's busy enough in Jasper that everything is more expensive.
Ground floor room had quite a bit of noise later at night and early morning as people gathered right outside the window.
I stayed at a couple different hotel's in Jasper and yours is in excellent location but your parking situation is not at all suitable I mean at least you have parking but almost two blocks away that’s crazy thank you for letting us stay and I will be back just packing lighter 😊
excellent location, friendly staff and nice rooms. ideal for exploring the sights around Jasper. our evening meal was excellent and breakfast was served at the hotel just up the street (10% discount if you mention you came from the Jasper Inn and Suites)
Really a motel in Canada but affordable for Jasper. Bit of a walk to downtown, car needed to access most sites. The room was fine except the air conditioning (and yes we needed it in June) was very loud and had a hard time cooling the space.
Good location to explore Banff and Jasper National Park
Brewer nearby
Cabins are large and comfy, well equipped, parking is available at front of the cabin
Staff was friendly
Pretty quiet
The hotel was amazing with a view of the mountains. It also has outdoor hot tubs which is awesome. Within walking distance of downtown Jasper where we found everything we needed and more.
